Project 6 month Management Board meeting
Norwegian Seafood center hosted the 6 month management meeting which was held in Bergen, Norway on November 10th 2010.
The meeting coincided with the annual national shellfish meeting which was held in Bergen on November 8th and 9th, and participants were urged to attend this meeting to receive an update on the R&D situation and production on shellfish in Norway and meet with other mussel farmers. Management issues were discussed, as were plans for the next project term.
A culinary event was organized for the project participants, including a demonstration and training course in preparation and cooking of mussels held by master chef Michael Reddington. A special focus was given on conditions to maintain and present mussels as a high quality product to consumers.
